The Armed Reserve Additional SP R Krishnaiah inspected the guard of honor while the Home Guards conducted an impressive parade.
Addressing the gathering, Krishnaiah lauded the dedicated services of Home Guards department, which was started as a voluntary service but inducted into police department later. He said, “The Home Guards are the finest personnel who are performing their duties parallel with the police at the times of controlling people and other important duties.
They are earning respect with their dedication and service to society.” The AR Additional SP handed over the certificates to the Home Guards who donated blood in the recent programme. Later, the Home Guards conducted a rally from the SP office to the RTC Bus Stand to mark the Raising Day. AR DSP Jalda Reddy, RIs Chandra Mohan, Murali, other RSIs and Home Guard instructors participated in the Rising Day celebrations.
