Vijayawada: The district administration set up a Control Room at the Command and Communication Room in view of the cyclone formed in the Bay of Bengal. The cyclone may cross the Coast between Nellore and Kakinada on December 12 and the Coastal districts may witness heavy rains with gales of 80 to 130 km during this period.

Commissioner of Disaster Management Department M V Seshagiri Babu in a press release here on Thursday said the district is gearing up to face disaster to be caused by cyclone in the Bay of Bengal.
Meanwhile, farmers in Krishna district are worried about the reports of cyclone. Paddy crop has not been harvested in the district.
