Inaugurating the Entrepreneurship Development Programme IGNITE-2016 of DICCI here on Thursday, the Minister said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was committed to resolve the problem of unemployment among SCs and STs by making them successful entrepreneurs or businessmen with proper skill development training.

He said that the government, in the first phase, had given training to 38 selected ST candidates with civil engineering qualification in the National Academy of Constructions by paying Rs 1.25 lakh as fee for each candidate.

‘”After giving certificates of F-Class Government Licensed Contractors to those who completed the training, we strictly instructed all the officials to encourage these ST licensed contractors offering all government works and also bank loans if necessary,” he explained.

On the Youth Training Centres (YTC), Kishore Babu said that there were 22 YTCs across the State, one of which was inaugurated in Pendurti in the district recently where the youth would be given necessary training in skill development.
