Visakhapatnam: British Deputy High Commissioner Andrew McAllister along with Nalini Raghuraman, Political Economy Advisor, British High Commission, visited Andhra University here on Friday and interacted with Vice-Chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao and faculty members.
At the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor Prof Nageswara Rao explained the progress of the university and also informed them about the British connection to Andhra university.
He said the Andhra University is looking forward for the cooperation and collaborations with the British universities.
In this connection, the British Deputy High Commissioner promised all cooperation from his end. The Vice-Chancellor felicitated the British Deputy High Commissioner and Political Economy Advisor on the occasion.
Earlier, they visited Japan Information and Study Centre and interacted with faculty and students of Soft Skills.
Prof DVR Murthy, Head, Department of Foreign Languages, explained them the importance of offering foreign languages and soft skills in the university.
