Warangal: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was plotting to remove High Court judge CV Nagarjuna Reddy, alleged OC Welfare Association leaders. The judge was known for his integrity, kept away political interference in legal affairs and that has irked the AP CM. In order to get rid of the judge, false allegations being levelled against him, alleged the association state general secretary Ch Amarender Reddy.

‘CPM national general secretary Sitaram Yechury was used as a pawn in the process and he misguided Rajya Sabha (RS) members, mostly from north Indian states, to move the petition seeking impeachment proceedings against the judge.’

In a statement here on Sunday, the association leader stated that the judge was falsely accused of committing atrocities against a dalit judicial officer. Enquiries were not held either in Bar Association or in High Court in connection with Nagarjuna Reddy issue. It was not proper to accuse a judge like Nagarjuna Reddy based on complaint by a suspended magistrate, called S Rama Krishna.

Chandrababu Naidu was known for his art of caste politics and the Rajya Sabha members should have learnt about the facts before moving the impeachment petition, Amarender Reddy felt. The association state leader P Ashok Reddy lamented that how could common people get justice when a high court judge was subjected to undue harassment because of political differences. A complaint would be lodged before National Human Rights Commission against the RS members and Chandrababu Naidu, he informed.
