Vijayawada: CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna appealed to State Election Commission to order an enquiry on bogus voters in teachers’ constituencies in Anantapur, Kadapa and Kurnool districts.

He alleged bogus voters were being added in the guise of unaided and private schools and demanded exclusion of such votes immediately.

In a letter to State election commissioner on Sunday, Ramakrishna said that new voters were being included even after last date for enrolment for new voters.

He wanted to exclude votes of unaided and private schools which were against the GO issued by election commission. He wanted election commission to examine EPF acquaintance and bank pass book of voters of unaided schools to avoid ineligible voters.

He appealed to commission to set up special counters at collectorates of Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur to examine draft voter lists and record objections.
