The house owners and land owners of Inavolu, Uddandarayunipalem and Nelapadu villages in Amaravati capital region refused to give their lands and houses for capital construction and road formation.

​Amaravati: The house owners and land owners of Inavolu, Uddandarayunipalem and Nelapadu villages in Amaravati capital region refused to give their lands and houses for capital construction and road formation.

A team led by Guntur Joint Collector Kruttika Shukla visited the villages on Monday. Nearly 30 acres of land has not been given so far for capital construction even while majority of the lands were given under Land Pooling Scheme (LPS).

In this backdrop, the officials conducted a field visit to begin the land acquisition process. On the occasion, the residents of Inavolu said that they were not ready to give their houses for road formation.

Nearly, the owners of 40 houses received notices for demolition of houses for creation of road. The owners believed that the officials’ team visited the village for this purpose.

But the Joint Collector explained to the residents that they came to village for land acquisition purpose.

Later, the team explained to the landowners who did not give land for LPS scheme on the importance and benefits.
