Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed a review meeting of bankers and officials at Secretariat at Velagapudi in Amaravati wherein he announced that the small denomination currency notes would be distributed to the pensioners in order to reduce their woes.

He informed that Rs 1058 crore small denomination notes are currently available in the state including Rs 340 crore small currency notes, hence there was no reason to panic.

Chandrababu directed the officials to distribute the small currency to rural areas and requested the bankers to take up a humanitarian approach to reduce people's suffering due to shortage of small currency.
