Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) conducted a workshop on Geographical Information System (GIS) frame works and futuristic solutions for APCRDA at CRDA office here on Wednesday. In this workshop, officials decided to frame a concept note under the guidance of Adikavi Nannaya University with the coordination of other university experts.

On the occasion, experts discussed on GIS opportunities in the Amaravati, special base maps making, opportunities for arranging base stations, points wise data regarding capital city roads and building information under one layer, sensors usage, data monitoring, identification of towers, configuration of towers, security boundaries to the APCRDA farmers plots and other issues.

APCRDA IT department director N Prabhakar Reddy said that APCRDA would arrange security boundaries to Amaravati capital farmer’s plots for controlling encroachments.

Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering Technology Prof A Gopala Krishna, Krishna University professors Kiran Kumar Reddy, D G Krishna Mohan and others were present.
