Vijayawada: A two-day all India dance festival will be held at Ghantasala Government Music and Dance College here from December 16, said Organising Committee chairman Ilapuram Raja.

In a statement here on Wednesday, Raja said that several dancers of national and international repute would be presenting the Indian classical dances during the two days. On the first day, the artistes of Rudrakshya Foundation of Odisha would present Odissi dance followed by Bharatanatyam by Tara Priyadarsini and Shaly Vijaya from USA. The artistes of Narayani Gotipua Kalaparishad from Odisha would present Gotipua dance while Dr P Sai Jyothi of Visakhapatnam presents Kuchipudi dance, Ilapuram Raja said.

On second day, S Tejaswi of Visakhapantam will present Kuchipudi, members of Articulate India Group from Bangaluru Kathak, B Sachita from Visakhapantam Kuchipudi, artistes of Gurukeerti Institution from Bhubaneswar Odissi and M S V Vaishnavi from New Delhi Kuchipudi.

Raja further stated that the dance festival is being organised by Visakhapatnam-based Nataraj Music and Dance Academy headed by B R Vikram Kumar. The programmes will be held for the two days daily from 6 to 8 pm, he said.
