Rampachodavaram: Project Officer of ITDA AS Dinesh Kumar called upon people to go for cashless transactions in the wake of demonetisation. He took part in an awareness programme on digital financial literacy and cashless transactions held under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh Human Resources Development Corporation in Rampachodavaram on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dinesh Kumar suggested to the officials to motivate tribals towards cashless transactions. He asked the divisional level officers to understand the cashless economy and implement it at mandal and village-level, besides asking them to obtain knowledge on mobile banking and swiping on e-PoS machines.

He explained that the transactions including purchasing fertilisers, payment of employment guarantee scheme wages and social pensions could be made through smart phones, debit and credit cards and Rupay cards. He called upon the officials to find many alternatives to encourage tribals towards cashless transactions. Dinesh Kumar also stressed on the need to bring change in the mindsets of tribals. He said that everyone should be aware on transferring money to other banks through mobile apps, Rupay and ATM card. He observed that cashless transactions were safe and people could save time.

He called upon every employee to transform as resource person to encourage cashless transactions among the tribal people. He made it clear that cashless transactions are compulsory in the present scenario and informed that 100 traders have came forward to take e-PoS machines in the Agency.
