Since the demonetization drive has hit the country, the plight of the common public seems to be never ending. Many have lost their lives due to demonetization which claimed two more lives in Andhra Pradesh on Friday taking the death toll to 10.

While reports suggest that the toll has risen to 24, they are unconfirmed. A 78-year-old woman, Sunkulamma collapsed while standing in a queue at Andhra Bank of Dhone town in Kurnool district. While she was rushed to the government hospital nearby, Sunkulamma succumbed to death within a few hours.

Police officials inform that Sunkulamma, who came to the bank to withdraw her old age pension, had died of shock after the bank informed that her account had been blocked.
