He advised youth to start their journey even with small companies or jobs and not to waste time till the big job comes to them. 

​Rajamahendravaram: There is no dearth of knowledge and enthusiasm among youth in the State and youth should grab abundant opportunities existing in the State, Telugu Desam Party national general secretary Nara Lokesh called upon here on Friday. He advised youth to start their journey even with small companies or jobs and not to waste time till the big job comes to them.

He mentioned that the Chief Minister is striving hard to develop the State against all odds and recalled that there was fiscal deficit in the State after the bifurcation. He inaugurated a two-day Mega Job Mela organised jointly by State government’s Vikasa, NTR Trust and Nannaya University here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Lokesh said that youth should come out of thinking that they want to start their career with big companies only like Microsoft, Infosys and others, which is not correct. He said that there is always a mismatch between job seekers and employers in this country which is because of the education system.

He asked the youth to develop skills, knowledge and understanding on the subject which suits the requirements of the companies. He maintained that there is lot of hard work, planning and vision behind the construction of Hi-tech City in Hyderabad by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu some years ago.

He asked to take leaders like Chandrababu Naidu as role model and work hard to bring the State in the top position.

Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, Rajamahendravaram Rural MLA organised the mela and welcomed the guests. Home Minister N Chinarajappa who was guest of honour at the meeting said that students will not get this type of opportunity as interviews are open here.

Prof. M Mutyala Naidu, Vice-Chancellor of Adikavi Nannaya University stated that they have invited 100 companies along with NTR Trust and Vikasa to provide 6,000 jobs.

Dr. Akula Satyanarayana, MLA, Rajamahendravaram said that sustainable and meaningful employment is only possible if the mindset of the youth is changed.

He said that the total mismatch between skilled employees and employment is the reason for this situation.Later, East Godavari District Collector H Arun Kumar said that they registered Vikasa organisation to bridge the gap between employee and employer and developing skills of youth in each constituency.

M N Rao, project officer of Vikasa said that a total of 24,000 candidates from 13 districts including Anantapur and Kadapa have registered online to participate in job mela for 6,000 jobs.
