Tirupati: The Railway Protection Force Pensioners’ Welfare Association (RPFPWA) observed Pensioner’s Day here on Saturday. Speaking at the function, RPFPWA secretary N Manoharam said pension is neither a gift nor a reward or bounty but is the right of a retired government servant, who had served the nation for long time.
He said that the pensioners are active in all aspects and ready to serve the society and the government. Divisional commissioner (RPF Guntakal) G Elisha, Assistant Commissioner (Renigunta) N Chandrasekhar, RPFPWA president V Seshadri and others also spoke.
