Pantam Nanaji is new DCC chief

= Senior Congress leader says that he took up the post on the advice of top Congress leaders N Raghuveera Reddy and Pallam Raju

Kakinada: Senior Congress leader and APCC secretary Pantam Venkateswara Rao alias Nanaji will take charge as East Godavari District
Congress Committee president on December 22. The post fell vacant following the resignation of Kandula Durgeh who later switched his
loyalties to YSRC.

Nanaji on Monday said that he will take charge at a programme to be organised at Suryakala Mandir function hall and said that he accepted
to head the district body as per the wishes of APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy and former union minister M M Pallam Raju who also hails
from East Godavari district.

Nanaji said that he wall strive his best to strengthen the party in the district . The party virtually has no representation either in Assembly or
in Council from the district.

With theist Congress opted for candidate from Kapu social section as followed by both TDP and YSRC.

While the TDP has neon observing thus practice since formation of the party in 1982 and YSRC to Kurasala Kannbabu few months ago
However the TD district unit chief post lying vacant for the lasts one year flowering the sudden demise of former Prathipadu MLA Parvata
So Sri Satyanarayana Murty alias Chittibabu.
