Tirupati: Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Sakthi (TTYS) president K Jagadeeswara Reddy on Monday prayed to Lord Venkateswara here seeking his divine intervention for the successful outcome of his petition he filed in the Supreme Court for a CBI enquiry into the death of Tamil Nadu former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

Reddy dropped the copy of his petition filed in the Apex Court in the Hundi at Alipiri, the origin point of the footpath to Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara here after offering special puja and prayer to the Lord.

Speaking to the media, Reddy, who filed a petition in the Apex Court seeking a CBI probe into the death of Jayalalithaa last week, said it is the wish of the people of Tamil Nadu to bring all facts leading to the mysterious death of their beloved leader.

“It is the firm belief and conviction of the people of Tamil Nadu that the coterie somehow wanted to eliminate Jayalalithaa and take her place by the head of coterie i.e. Sasikala Natarajan which was strengthened with the background of reports appeared in a section of media including Tehelka magazine on January 2012 against Sasikala and also the letter wrote to film actress Gautami to Prime Minister,” he said quoting the content in his petition filed in the Supreme Court.
