2.28 lakh attend CA (CPT) exam

Vijayawada: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducted Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test CA (CPT) exam in two sessions across 171 cities in India. In all, 2,28 lakh wrote the exam on Tuesday and the results of this exam will be announced next month, said ‘Top Learning institute in a press release on Tuesday.

The four CPT subjects are Accountancy, Mercantile Law, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. After clearing the CPT test, the candidates will start preparing for IPCC by the end of January, ICAI will conduct the next IPCC exam in May, 2017. Out of the 200 questions, the candidates will attempt at least 170 questions to qualify for the next level, according to the institute.
