Srisailam: Opposing the government decision’s permission to helicopter landing at the sports ground, students, parents and local community leaders took to streets here on Wednesday and staged dharna in front of the ground. The protesters said that no one in the town is against development but the government should look for the alternative.

Students are not able to concentrate on studies due to sound pollution caused by the helicopter, the protesters added.
It may be recalled that as part of promoting Heli-tourism, the government accorded permission to Sumith Aviation for Helicopter to land in the stadium.
Congress leader Ismail, TDP leader Sikindar Basha along with others participated in the protest rally.
