Bobbili: Minister for Rural Development K Mrinalini, in-charge Minister of this district P Raghunatha Reddy have taken steps to bring back the Andhra workers trapped in Iran.

Both Ministers talked to the officers of Andhra Bhavan at New Delhi and directed them to take necessary action and help them in all aspects. Around 11 people from Bobbili and seven people from Garividi mandal of this district have migrated to Iran to work with a company through an agent.

They migrated in June and July to work as welders, fitters and other technicians. But due to drastic fall of temparatures the Iran government has directed the industry to close down in November.

So far the technicians have worked in critical conditions but now they are unable to continue stay back. Above all, they couldn’t get their salaries which the agent assures while taking them to Iran.

Finally, they informed their relatives about their pathetic condition and urged them to save with them with Indian government’s help. Technicians belonging to Rangarayapuram, Piridi, Bobbili, Tellarapuvalasa are some of the victims and their family members were a worried lot.

Pappala Tirupathi Rao, Atchyutha Rao of Rangarayapuram (both are brothers) and T Bhaskara Rao of Tellarapuvalasa Bhaskara Rao of Piridi are some of the workers who are trapped.

After facing lot of hardships, they could able to communicate with their relatives and shared their plight.
