New names for 3 ORRs
The State government has plans to name several Outer Ring Roads(ORR) around Amaravati, Vishakapatnam and Tirupati.
Amaravati:The State government has plans to name several Outer Ring Roads(ORR) around Amaravati, Vishakapatnam and Tirupati.
The names have been finalised as Budha Maala for Amaravati ORR, Soundarya Maala for Vishakapatnam, Vaikunta Maala for Tirupathi ORR. The government has also decided to set up new corporations for rain guns and beautification of cities.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu revealed these details on the second day and concluding session of the Collectors’ conference here on Thursday.

The government plans to increase urbanisation in the State, the CM said. The government would give priority to develop slums and roads would be developed to change outlay of the cities’.
Several towns would be upgraded and urban development corporation would be setup for developing the towns and cities.
The Chief Minister said that through urbanisation there is a huge potential to generate employment and incomes.
He expressed satisfaction on growth in the agriculture sector. Even though rainfall was low, the State registered 24 per cent growth rate.
He said mechanisation is very important in the sector and added that focus should be shifted to backward areas.
He said that Rs 1100 crore is available for agriculture needs and that should be spent in Rayalaseema districts. He asked the officials to improve productivity.
