Narsapur: Prominent physician Dr Chinamilli Appaji, of Narsapur town, West Godavari District, donated Rs 50,000 to the Army Central Welfare Fund, from the sale proceeds of his recently released book titled The Diet & Exercise Pocket Book.

Narsapur: Prominent physician Dr Chinamilli Appaji, of Narsapur town, West Godavari District, donated Rs 50,000 to the Army Central Welfare Fund, from the sale proceeds of his recently released book titled The Diet & Exercise Pocket Book.

Appaji said it was a small token of gratitude and respect to the army which has been doing yeoman service in safeguarding the nation’s borders.

Speaking about the book, he said it was an ‘all-in-one, easy to read and self-explanatory’ handbook in English containing 160 pages and 40 chapters covering various aspects of diet and exercise.

The book was released by the Health Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr Kamineni Srinivas at the IMA State conference in Amalapuram in November, he added.

The sale proceeds were from his clinic and the ongoing Hyderabad National Book Fair in Hyderabad.

Appaji thanked all the buyers for contributing to the noble cause.

Narsapur MLA Sri Bandaru Madhava Naidu, Chairperson P Ratnamala, YN College Secretary & Correspondent Dr C Satyanarayana Rao, IMA members Dr ISV Prakash, Dr Ande Ram Satish, Dr M. Koteswara Rao and others appreciated the contribution made by Appaji.
