Churches decked up for Christmas
Vijayawada: Churches in the city have been decked up for Christmas on Sunday. Almost all churches wore a festive look. St Peter’s and CSI’s St Paul churches at One Town, St Paul’s Cathedral, St Paul’s Basilica and Gunadala Mary Matha churches were illuminated.

The night services began at 10 pm on Saturday and continue till 4 am.
The morning prayers will begin at 8 am on Sunday and conclude at 10.30 pm.
At many places and important centres, believers arranged, cribs, Christmas trees and other things to showcase the life of Jesus.
Shopping malls and other business establishments also exhibited colourful lighting, stars and different things to attract customers.
Sweet shops and bakeries made a roaring business in spite of crisis for currency due to demonetisation.
