He was speaking at a meeting organized by AP District Bar Association presidents and general secretaries conference here on Saturday.

The deputy CM also promised advocates to provide facilities like health cards, pension scheme and house sites to all eligible.

The government is planning to increase advocates welfare fund from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, he added.

Rajyasabha MP TG Venkatesh called upon the advocates to serve the poor as their social responsibility.

There is a need to create legal awareness among the people, he said.

State bar council member Ravi Guvera, Kurnool bar association president S Chand Basha, secretary CV Srinivas and others were present.
