Guntur: The Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman N K Kiran Kumar said that space science is useful for the development of the country.

He was addressing a meeting in connection with 6th convocation of K L University at Vaddeswaram here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said: "Space science is useful to solve environment problems.

We have inducted satellite into Mars orbit, it is useful to strengthen security of the country and send necessary information.

We are able to face challenges caused by environment with the help of space science and space technology.

ISRO is planning to launch low-cost satellites made with modern technology.

Thailand former Deputy Prime Minister Sahas Bunditkul suggested to the students to take up challenges in jobs to improve their skills and bring out innate talent and to excel in the jobs.

He urged the students to draw inspiration from Satyam Nadendla, who became Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft, with his own effort.

He said that there is no substitute for hard work.

Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Chairman Barsak Kanok Nukulchai stressed the need to improve communication skills to get better placements.

He explained significance of discipline in life.

Later, K L University Chairman Koneru Satyanarayana, Chancellor M Ramamurthy conferred honorary doctorates on ISRO Chairman Kiran Kumar, Dr Sahas Bunditkul, Barsak Kanak Nakul and presented gold medals to them.

Later, Kiran Kumar, Dr Sahas Bunditkujl, Barsak Kanak Nakul gave certificates to the students who did Phd, M Tech, MBA, MCA, BBA courses.
