Eluru: Journalists continued their agitation for the third consecutive third day in various parts of the district, demanding the arrest of Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar and his henchmen for their assault on a television journalist at the district collectorate in Eluru on Wednesday.

The journalists took out a silent procession with their mouths tied with black ribbons, in Eluru on Saturday.
They later staged a dharna at Gandhi Statue and then met Collector K Bhaskar.
They submitted a memorandum to the Collector requesting action against Chintamaneni Prabhakar and his men.
Similarly, in Achanta, television and print journalists took out a protest march and formed a human chain demanding the arrest of the MLA.
They later submitted a memorandum to Penumantra tahsildar P Venkatrao. In Kovvuru, a memorandum was submitted to RDO B Srinivasa Rao.
