Chandrababu receives funds worth Rs.1981cr for Polavaram

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu received a cheque from NABARD (The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) for the construction of Polavaram Project in New Delhi.

The cheque worth of Rs.1981cr is the 1st installment of proposed loan to the project. Union Minister for water resources Uma Bharti who handed over the cheque said that it is for the first time in Indian history that NABARD is funding for irrigation projects.
Union Minister Arun Jaitley who was also present, assured more assistance for the development of AP and added that the Central government is priortizing the irrigation projects.
Chandrababu thanked the Union Government for the assitance in the construction of Polavaram project.
