MVGR students bag TCS awards
Students of MVGR Engineering College have been selected for TCS best student awards for their outstanding performance in academics.
Vizianagaram: Students of MVGR Engineering College have been selected for TCS best student awards for their outstanding performance in academics.
TCS vice-president V Rajanna presented TCS award for the best student of 2015-16 batch to Duba Mounika of Department of Civil Engineering. The award comprises a gold medal, a certificate and a cash price of Rs 10,000. TCS award for the best student project of 2015-16 batch was given to Alamanda Satish, Pyla Anusha, Kadimisetty Shilpa and Garimella Sarada Sravanthi for the project entitled ‘NetConf Agent for all Message Types’.
The project was done by the students from the Department of Computer Science of this college. The award comprises a gold medal, a certificate and a cash price of Rs 20,000.
The award presentation ceremony was held at TCS Synergy Park campus. Speaking on the occasion, Rajanna disclosed that TCS best student and TCS best student project awards are two of the many initiatives from TCS to encourage students to focus on academics and projects.
These awards are presented to the best student and best project nominated by the colleges with which TCS has signed an MoU. These awards aim to promote creativity and socially useful projects.
