YSR Congress Party president and Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday participated in the Maha Dharna to extend his support to the farmers at the Mandal office in Pulivendula where he castigated Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his anti-farmer policies.

Speaking at the Dharna, YS Jagan said that the Chief Minister is least concerned about the farmers issues and is ruling the state on a commercial basis by just taking away farmers' land for his own benefit and not taking up irrigation problems of Rayalaseema in the cabinet.

Pointing out further, he questioned as to why the Rayalaseema was not being provided with water till now while Pattiseema project was claimed for the same. The YSRCP Chief also said that instead of Pattiseema project, had Gandikota project been constructed, all the areas in Rayalaseema would have received sufficient irrigation.

He demanded the state government to immediately issue GOs releasing the Srisailam water for Rayalaseema region.
