Eluru: Janasena Party (JSP) workers staged a dharna here on Monday at the Collectorate condemning the comments made by Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar against Pawan Kalyan.

It may be recalled that the MLA Chintamaneni while speaking to a web channel commented that TDP won the elections on its own and not due to Pawan Kalyan’s popularity. Angered by the MLA’s comments, the JSP workers took out a motorcycle rally from Fire Station centre to the Collectorate before staging a dharna. Janasena district leaders Jalla Harikrishna, Koppisetti Veerababu demanded Denduluru MLA to withdraw his comments against Pawan Kalyan immediately.

They alleged that the MLA insulted Pawan Kalyan by addressing the later in singular name. It was the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who pleaded with Pawan Kalyan to campaign for the TDP in 2014 general elections, the JSP activists recalled. Besides, the MLA Chintamaneni thanked the JSP workers for their support in his constituency and the former went on to assure of his support to the JSP workers too, they pointed out.

It is really surprising to see the MLA forgetting the good work done by Pawan Kalyan, they lamented. If Chintamaneni is really boastful of TDP strength, then the MLA should better tender his resignation and reenter the Assembly without carrying PawanKalyan’s photo. Janasena workers Thota Mahesh, Thota Ramakrishna, Kandula Nani, Vangaveeti Kalyan, Sripati Gurudatta and others participated in the dharna.
