Ongole: The Ongole MP YV Subbareddy visited the camp of relay hunger strike of contract lecturers and expressed his solidarity to them.
“The lecturers in the State are on hunger strike for 25 days demanding solution to their problems. The TDP promised to regularise the contract lecturers in their manifesto and it should keep its promise. The government should also provide equal salary for equal work as per the Supreme Court orders and DA according to the 10th PRC,” he said.
He said that it was wrong on part of Ganta Srinivasa Rao to warn the lecturers to stop the protesting and continue suffering. “If the government fails to regularise them and increase the salaries the YSRCP would continue to fight in support of them,” he warned.
