Guntur: District Collector Kanitilal Dande released district potential linked credit plan for the financial year 2017-2018 with a plan outlay of Rs 17,781 crore prepared by the Nabard. This is 17% more than last year’s budget.

During the current financial year, annual credit plan prepared with a plan outlay of Rs 15,140 crore, for the next financial year, the Nabard has increased 17% and projected Rs 17,781 crore funds for various sectors for the development of the district.

The bank projected crop loans Rs 9,396 crore, for agriculture related activities, Rs 2,726 crore, for medium scale industries, Rs 2,698 crore and for others Rs 2,961 crore.

As per the instructions of the government, banks targeted to achieve double digit growth rate in the district.

Addressing a gathering, Kantilal Dande directed the banks to sanction crop loans, loans to the self- help groups and other sectors without delay.

He said that due to demonetisation, the small and marginal farmers and the common man were suffering.

He directed the banks to fill ATMs with currency notes. Nabard AGM Bhavani Sankar said that they allotted 17 % more funds this year to achieve double digit development.

He said similarly, they have projected funds to the agriculture, horticulture, and agriculture allied industries also. Later, they released potential linked annual credit plan for the financial year 2017-18.

Joint Collector Krithika Shukla, Andhra Bank DGM Chadalavada Dananjaya, Lead Bank manager Sudarsan Rao released potential linked annual credit plan for Guntur district for the financial year 2017-18.
