Nellore: A woman jumped into Kavali canal with her two daughters at Marripadu in Sangam mandal on Wednesday. In this extreme step one girl died, while the woman and other daughter were rescued by villagers.
According to sources, Subhashini (28) a native of the village was being harassed by her in-laws for conceiving female children.
Unable to bear the harassment, she along with her two daughters Pallavi (3) and Pavithra (10) jumped into the canal. Pavithra drowned and others were rescued by villagers.
