Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Federation (ACCI) constituted a taxation sub-committee under the chairmanship of Ramakrishna Sangu, CA, on Thursday to create awareness among the members and public on the taxes being collected by State and Central governments.

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Federation (ACCI) constituted a taxation sub-committee under the chairmanship of Ramakrishna Sangu, CA, on Thursday to create awareness among the members and public on the taxes being collected by State and Central governments.

The sub-committee will meet every month and discuss policy changes / amendments in Direct and Indirect Taxes made by the Central and State governments from time to time and examine its implications on business
sector.

The sub-committee will organise seminars/ conferences/ workshops to create awareness and educate the members and public at large.

The ACCI General Secretary Potluri Bhaskarao on Thursday discussed with the Sub-Committee about its
activities.

The committee will address the genuine problems/ issues raised by the members. The committee will arrange meetings of the members periodically to deliberate on any controversial tax rules of Central and State governments.

The sub-committee works towards providing awareness to the members at large regarding income tax, central excise, service tax, sales tax and GST related matters.

It will also provide to members and public an online interactive session through their website/portal shortly for any queries on taxation to its members & public.

CA Ramakrishna Sangu is a chartered accountant and member of Indirect Taxation Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

He is a partner of Manohar Chowdary & Associates. Sangu is specialised in Indirect Taxation with a 10 years experience. Following is the team.

CA Ramakrishna Sangu is the chairman of the sub-committee. CA Srinivas Agnihotram is the Vice-Chairman.

Executive members of the sub-committee are Rama Mohan Rao T S, Akkiyya Naidu S, Kunda Rama Narayana and K Katyani.

General secretary of ACCI Potluri Bhaskara Rao will guide the sub-committee in identifying and prioritising the issues for addressing the problems and subjects related to Taxes.
