Ex-MPTC member brutally attacked
Eluru: A former MPTC was seriously injured in an attack at Kamatalapalli village in Veeravasaram mandal of West Godavari district on Thursday morning.According to police, Karra Ramarao (65), a former MPTC of Kamatalapalli village in Veeravasaram mandal was having boundary disputes with Kaja Rambabu.
Eluru: A former MPTC was seriously injured in an attack at Kamatalapalli village in Veeravasaram mandal of West Godavari district on Thursday morning.
According to police, Karra Ramarao (65), a former MPTC of Kamatalapalli village in Veeravasaram mandal was having boundary disputes with Kaja Rambabu.
Both Ramarao and Rambabu were located next to each other in the village. Kaja Rambabu feared that he could come under witchcraft attack by Karra Ramarao and decided to get rid of former MPTC.
When the former MPTC was sitting at an elementary school and engaged in a chit-chat, the accused Rambabu indiscriminately stabbed him.
The seriously injured former MPT C was shifted to Palacole government hospital. Later, he was shifted to Eluru government hospital.
His condition is said to be critical. Later, the accused Rambabu surrendered himself to Veeravasaram police after the attack. Veeravasaram police registered a case against him.
