City Division Girl's Zone Grigg Memorial games begin
Grigg Memorial Vijayawada Division Girl’s Zone games began at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) stadium in the city on Friday. Andhra Pradesh Sports special officer Ravindranadh has inaugurated the two days games.

Grigg Memorial Vijayawada Division Girl’s Zone games began at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) stadium in the city on Friday. Andhra Pradesh Sports special officer Ravindranadh has inaugurated the two days games.
About 500 girl students have been attended for the division games. Speaking on the occasion AP Sports special officer Ravindranadh said that the state government has been encouraging sports and games and announced special incentives for the outstanding players. The Union and state government have been decided add six additional marks those who performed in National level sports and games, he said.
The New Sports Policy would be started in February month and it would be implemented in all schools, he added. He suggested that students should participate in sports and games. Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) Educational Committee chairperson D Aparna said that playing sports and games is helpful to physical fitness.
VMC Deputy Educational Officer (DYEO) K Durga Prasad, Vijayawada Urban Physical Education Teachers Association president S Ramesh, secretary M Rajkumar and other participated.
