Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the government would give ratings of three star, five star and seven star for villages across the State based on their performance.
Participating in tele-conference on Janmabhoomi-My Village with officials from his residence at Undavalli here on Friday, the Chief Minister said that Janmabhoomi programme should be conducted successfully from January.
He reiterated that the ratings would be given to encourage competition among the villages.

Asking the officials to prepare an action plan for the development of the State in next year, Naidu said the State had already achieved top place in the country in energy, food security and Aadhaar linkage to schemes and hoped that the State would get top rankings in the country in next year too.
The officials were instructed to conduct Sankranti and New Year across the State. The officials and public representatives should work hard with better coordination for development of the villages, he said and them to feel responsibility.
“Everyone should think in terms of ‘This is my village. The development of village is my responsibility,”’ he said.
Display boards should be exhibited indicating the growth of the village, he said, and added that public grievances related to ration cards, pensions, input subsidy, Chandranna Bima should be solved in the Janmabhoomi meetings.
The action taken report also should be read out in front of the villagers, he said.

He said the allotment of pensions and ration delivery should be done without any lapses and irregularities would be sternly dealt with and told the officials to set up call centres and know the satisfaction levels of the beneficiaries.
Chief Secretary S P Tucker praised the new idea on ratings for the villages.
