In 2016, the CM has visited Vizag 20 times against 15 times in 2015 and needless to say; the district administration, civic authorities and police department have constantly been on tenterhooks, busy making arrangements for the CM’s visit.

This year, the CM began the first leg of his visit with the inauguration of CII Partnership Summit along with Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on January 10 and on January 12, he attended Swami Vivekananda National Youth Meet held at AU Convocation Hall and participated in the valedictory function of Partnership Summit along with Governor E S L Narasimhan.

On January 30, he inaugurated the Pro-Kabaddi-2016 tournament at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor stadium and reviewed IFR arrangements.

The CM arrived in the city on February 4 to attend the India Fleet Review, placed a wreath at the War Memorial and inaugurated IFR Village at the AU Engineering College Grounds.

Along with Governor Narasimhan, he received the President of India and Prime Minister for the IFR on February 5 and participated in the IFR along with them and the Governor on February 6.

He left for Vijayawada on February 7 after seeing off the President and Prime Minister. Delhi.

Again on February 12, he came to the city to attend the Smart City MoU following which, he left for Srikakulam to participate in the State NGOs’ Meet.

On February 17, the CM came to the city again to attend the marriage of Anakapalli MLA Peela Govinda Satyanarayana’s son at Anakapalli and on the next day on February 18, he launched SAMEER CENTRE with Union Communication Minister Ravi Sankar Prasad and in the evening, the CM flanked by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh attended an in-camera meeting with top cops of neighbouring States.

On March 17, he inaugurated the Fibre Grid meeting and on April 11, laid foundation stone for the ESI Hospital at Sheelanagar along with Union Ministers Bandaru Dattatreya and Venkaiah Naidu.

On April 30, he launched Neeru-Chettu at Andhra University and inaugurated Apollo Hospitals at the Health City and on June 25, he again attended programmes including launching of Smart City projects at the GVMC.

On July 2, the CM flagged off Visakha Steel Bay Marathon, on July 23, he attended party workers’ meet and consoled the family members of missing Naval personnel at the NAD, on August 9, he paid a visit to his adopted village Pedalabudu in Araku mandal, on August 19 he attended the National Workshop on Road Safety along with Venkaiah Naidu and Siddha Raghava Rao, on September 14 both CM and Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated BRICS Meet and on September 23, the CM, Venkaiah Naidu and Nirmala Sitaraman participated in the India International Seafood Show-2016.

On October 6, the CM attended a seminar on Digital Transformation, on October 20, foundation stone was laid for the Petroleum University in Sabbavaram mandal by the CM and Union Ministers Veerendra Pradan, Venkaiah Naidu, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Choudary, on November 17, the CM participated in the party programme of Jana Chaitanya Yatra at Chodavaram and lastly, he participated in the Convocation of Damodaram Sanjeevayya National Law University along with Chief Justice of India T S Thakur and Acting Chief Justice of High Court Ramesh Ranganathan.
