Maganti furious over protocol violation

Eluru: Eluru MP Maganti Venkateswara Rao (Babu) irked by the attitude of the officials over not being invited for the inaugural programme of the Polavaram irrigation project spillway concrete works.

Maganti warned the officials that he won’t tolerate if anyone violates the protocol in his parliamentary constituency.

Addressing the media conference at his camp office here on Saturday, the MP pointed out that the irrigation department violated protocol norms as they overlooked placing his photo in newspaper advertisement on the inauguration of concrete works of spillway of Polavaram irrigation project that took place at Ramayyapeta in Polavaram mandal.

“My fans and followers noticed the omission of my photo from the newspaper advertisement.

Polavaram falls under Eluru Parliamentary constituency and the officials overlooked my stature as MP and did not bother to carry out my photo in newspapers.

They did not invite me for the programme in which the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu participated on Friday,“ he fumed.

Also, equal preference should be accorded to the MPP (Mandal Parishad President), ZPTC and other public representatives in all future events that take place in the district, he demanded.

However, he said he did not blame anyone for this. The Eluru MP exhorted the people to participate in the Janmabhoomi programme that kickstarts from January 2 in the district.

All the pressing problems will be attended to during the upcoming Janmabhoomi programme, he said.

Maganti Babu added that in the last two and half years, he has spent Rs 25.80 lakhs out of his salary towards p who suffers from illness and education and other problems.

He said that he will bring the Kolleru contour issue to the notice of Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu.

He has listed out his new year plans saying that the contour reduction problem, Kovvuru-Bhadrachalam railway line and other issues will be taken up on priority basis.
