Vijayawada: Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao asked the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the successful conduct of three-day National Women Parliament (NWP) to be held at the Pavitra Sangamam in Ibrahimpatnam mandal from January 10 to 12.

The Speaker along with Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad on Saturday convened a meeting with District Collector Babu A, Commissioner of Police D Gautam Sawang and Municipal Commissioner G Veerapandian at the State Guest House and reviewed the arrangements to be made for the three-day national convention which will be attended by delegates from India and abroad.

The Speaker has asked the officials to conduct review meetings regularly to ensure the successful conduct of National Women Parliament.

He recalled that the Krishna district officials had earlier successfully conducted some important events like Krishna Pushkaralu and Kuchipudi Dance convention.

District Collector Babu A said that multi-disciplinary teams will be formed t work in coordination and make arrangements for the conference.

Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang said adequate security measures will be made for the safety of he women attending the National Convention.

Large number of CC cameras will be installed to monitor the proceedings.

Around 10,000 women are expected to take part in the National Women Parliament.
