Commissioner inspects arrangements for ISC

Tirupati: Municipal Corporation commissioner V Vinay Chand inspected the arrangements at SV University campus and Tarakarama stadium, the main venue of the Indian Science Congress ((ISC) that gets underway on January 3. The 5-day event would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The commissioner instructed corporation engineering personnel to prepare a helipad also at the SVU ground as PM Modi after landing at Renigunta airport would reach the venue directly by helicopter for the inauguration ceremony. He also directed the health staff to clean the entire venue and also the SVU campus and the places where the meetings would take place.

He instructed the Police department not to allow anyone to the event without a valid ID-card to ensure foolproof security during the five-day event. He also directed Zilla Parishad chief executive officer Penchala Prasad to deck the venue for the event and give a festive ambience to the arena and surroundings. Later, the commissioner inspected SPMVV where the Children Science Congress would be held in tandem with ISC and the arrangements being made for the same. The commissioner was accompanied by DSP Muralikrishna and other officials.
