Depressed man attempts suicide

Nellore: A person attempted suicide by jumping in front of a running train on Saturday at Konduru Satram station in Manubole limits. He was shifted to a hospital in Nellore where his condition was stated to be stable. According to the police, Uma Maheswara Reddy of Mylavaram in Jammalamadugu mandal fell in love with P Sai Deepthi of the same village five years ago and the couple went in for a registry wedding in Delhi.

On Saturday, Reddy came to Nellore on some work and on the way back home; he stopped at Konduru Satram village and jumped in front of a train. A seriously injured Reddy was shifted to the government hospital attached to ACSR Medical College. Police retrieved a suicide note from the spot in which Reddy had said that should anything happen to him, money from Deepthi should be recovered and handed over to his parents.
