Vizianagaram: After the resignation of K Veerabhadra Swamy from the district president post of YSRCP, Botcha Satyanarayana, senior leader of YSR Congress Party, is planning to bring his confidant as the district party chief.

Veerabhadra Swamy, who is also an MLC, resigned to the district president post recently, and appealed to the party high command to appoint another person in his place. He said that he will work sincerely to strengthen the party.

According to reliable sources, Swamy tendered resignation as he was unable to work with Botcha Satyanaryana.

Bellana Chandrasekhar belonging to Cheepurupally, who worked as the Zilla Parishad chairman and former MLA Botcha Appalanarsaiah, brother of Botcha, and one more are likely to be considered for the district president post.

It is learnt that former minister and senior leader P Sambasivaraju will support the candidate proposed by Botcha Satyanarayana it seems will have his say after the exit of Bobbili MLA Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao and Swamy.

Majji Srinu, who played a major role, when Botcha was the Minister during the Congress regime, is likely to be considered for the post. Avanapu Vijay and Vikram are also in the race for the post. Vijay worked as the district youth president. Apart from party high command, Botcha will play a vital role in selecting the new president. K Tirupathi Rao, follower of Botcha Satyanarayana and sarpanch from Gurla mandal, said: “We will strive to strengthen to the party under new president with able guidance from Botcha.”
