SP recommends suspension of erring police personnel
Speaking to the media, SP Vishal Gunni said that even though the III-town police had received several complaints against the persons who were making crackers illegally in the area, they had failed to take action against them. He said they had sent a report to the Guntur Range IGP on the explosion incident, recommending for disciplinary action. City DSP G Venkata Ramudu was also present.
Nellore: District SP Vishal Gunni recommended the suspension of two police officials and issued a charge memo to another official in connection with the blast incident that had claimed two lives and left 14 seriously injured on Saturday. The SP recommended the suspension of III-town circle Inspector G Rama Rao and then Sub-Inspector P Rama Krishna for neglecting duties, to the Inspector General of Police, Guntur, and issued a charge memo to III-town Sub-Inspector S Venkateswarlu for not taking necessary measures at the blast site. He, along with Additional SP B Sarath Babu, visited the blast site at Porlukatta on Sunday.
