Solar plant inaugurated at MVGR college
Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurated solar power plant on the premises of M V G R Engineering College here on Sunday.
Vizianagaram: Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurated solar power plant on the premises of M V G R Engineering College here on Sunday.
“At present there is an urge of identifying and developing renewable resources. Keeping this in view, MVGR College initiated roof top solar power plant on the college precincts, said principal Dr KVL Raju.
The principal emphasised the importance of renewable energy and other alternatives. This project would help students to know about solar energy apart from learning and developing skills in solar power technology, he added. The Union Minister interacted with the students and advised them to produce non-conventional energy in order to protect environment from pollution.
District Collector Vivek Yadav, officials from electricity department, MANSAS correspondent Dr D R K Raju, principal Dr KVL Raju, vice-principal, dean and college staff were present.
