Two students killed as bikes collide

Kadapa: Two students were killed and another two injured in an accident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday in Rajampet town. B Tech student Vinod (22) and Sai Prasad (23), a B Pharm student were killed in a head-on collision of their bikes during the New Year revelry. Their friends who were pillion riding were injured. According to eye-witness accounts, both the students were driving their bikes at high speed. All four students were rushed to a private hospital where Vinod and Sai Prasad succumbed to their injuries. The other two students have been shifted to hospitals in Kadapa and Tirupati where their condition was said to be stable. Following the incident, a pall of gloom descended on Rajampet town.
