Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Monday said Rs. 1,637 crores was sanctioned for the works of Lift Irrigation Scheme at Purusothapatnam village on Godavari left flood canal.He said that the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation stone on January 5 at Purusothapatnam of Kakinada.Earlier in the day, he reviewed the CM visit arrangements along with Deputy CM Nimmakayala Chinarajapa at Thimmapuram camp office near Kakinada.

He said that CM will lay foundation to the project at public meeting at Pithapuram on January 5 afternoon and attend developmental works and Janmabhoomi Gram Sabha in Ramachandrapuram constituency in the morning.He requested the officials to make necessary arrangements for CM visit in the district ZP Chairperson Namana Rambabu, Kakinda MP Thota Narashimham, Distict Collector H Arun Kumar, MLAs SVSN Varma, Smt Pilli Anantha Lakshmi, Vanamdai Venkateswara Rao, SE Polavaram Left Main Canal, S Sugunakara Rao attended.
