Pawan Kalyan sets deadline to AP Govt on Uddanam Kidney diseases

Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday interacted with the victims suffering from kidney diseases from Uddanam, Ichapuram in Srikakulam District.

While talking to them, Pawan Kalyan said that he is worried about the next generations. With thousands falling prey to chronic diseases, the Jana Sena leader said that instead of digging in to reasons as to why the previous government's didn't take any action on this matter, he wants to focus on finding a solution to the problem.

Stating that he has joined politics to serve the people, Pawan Kalyan asked people to give their testimony of the problems of the disease. The people of Uddanam broke down explaining their concerns regarding the costly treatments and also that on an average every family has one who is suffering from the disease.

After listening to the issues, Pawan Kalyan demanded the Andhra Pradesh government to form a special committee for the issues of Uddanam people and urged the Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas to take up the issue seriously.

Questioning the state and the central government for ignoring the chronic health issues affecting thousands in the region for over a decade, he lashed out at the public representatives for not taking up any responsibility to handle the issue.

The Jana Sena Chief also questioned the AP Government as to why the funds were not being utilized for the welfare of the people and being put in Pushkaralu or capital construction.

Putting a deadline of 48 hours to the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Health Minister to respond on this issue, Pawan Kalyan said that his party would organize a committee to work on the issue and urged the activists to co-ordinate the committee by extending their help.
