Nellore: YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy accused the Telugu Desam government of wilfully neglecting formation of Tribal Advisory Committee, to look after welfare of the tribals, even after three years of its rule.

He visited the houses of crackers unit blast victims in Nellore city on Tuesday.

Later, paying a visit to the injured being treated at Narayana Hospital, Jagan charged that the incident occurred due to negligence of the officials.

He lambasted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for not putting in sincere efforts to curb such incidents.

“Similar accidents happened in East Godavari, had the Chief Minister taken serious action, the blast would not have happened,” he remarked.

He alleged that the CM was wilfully delaying formation of the committee as many legislators from ST community were from YSRCP.

“The State government failed to provide employment to the poor and is neglecting their welfare.

The blast incident was a clear example for poor performance on the part of administration,” he said.

Jaganmohan Reddy along with Nellore MP M Rajamohan Reddy and others visited Porlukatta area and expressed his condolences to the people, who lost their beloved family members in the explosion.

Interacting with family members of deceased, Jagan demanded the government to pay Rs 10 lakh as ex gratia to the families of the deceased.

Later, speaking to the mediapersons, he criticised the State government for not taking any action against the illegal crackers making units and godowns across the State.
