Sports for under-14 from Jan 18
Nellore: A national-level competition for kho-kho, kabaddi and other sports would commence at AC Subba Reddy stadium in city from January 18 for under-14 category boys and girls, said the Joint Collector A Md Imtiyaz Ahmed. Nellore: A national-level competition for kho-kho, kabaddi and other sports would commence at AC Subba Reddy stadium in city from January 18 for under-14 category boys and girls, said the Joint Collector A Md Imtiyaz Ahmed.
He along with Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Vice-Chairman Bangar Raju reviewed the arrangements with officials concerned at Golden Jubilee Hall on Tuesday.
He said that about 2,232 players from 29 states and union territories will be participating in the event.
Joint Collector said that measures would be taken to conduct the national-level event effectively and sought co-operation from all to make it a successful one.
SAAP Vice-Chairman Bangar Raju said that about 216 coaches, managers and 125 officials would reach Nellore for the event.
He also said another 300 local officials would assist for conducting the event.
SAAP Director Ravindra Babu, OSD Rama Krishna and others were present.
