Pithapuram: The Deputy Chief Minister N Chinnarajappa on Wednesday said that the Congress party neglected the completion of the irrigation projects and focussed only on percentages. He along with MP Thota Narasimham, MLA SVSN Varma and Jyothula Nehru inspected the venue where Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will address a public meeting on Thursday and will lay foundation stone for the Purushottapatnam Lift Irrigation Scheme.
Chinnarajappa said that Purushottapatnam lift irrigation project will irrigate 80,000 acres and it will be completed by the end of the year and added that people of five constituencies will be benefited by the project.
On Thursday the Chief Minister will inaugurate RDO office and will participate in Janmabhoomi before laying foundation stone for the project, said the Deputy Chief Minister. District SP Ravi Prakash, Rajamahendravaram SP Rajakumari, RDO B R Ambedkar, DCCB president Parupula Raja, ZPTCs B Apparao, M Prasad, mandal party president B Rambabu and others were present.
